Improved Cooking Stoves (ICS) supports reducing a pressure on forest degradation and support health of women and create more time for children’s education. Dissemination of ICS is a REDD+ activity proposed in the PRAP.

The project kick off conference on Integrated Coastal Protection and Mangrove Belt Rehabilitation for Kien Giang and Ca Mau held on May 22, 2020, in Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development(MARD). The conference chaired by Dr. Ha Cong Tuan - Permanent Deputy Minister of MARD.

Project brochure and leaflets are public relations materials designed to introduce project objectives, component, duration and sites in a concise manner. These have been widely shared with relevant stakeholders during the project implementation.
PRAP and thematic reports under Component 2

Under requirement of NRAP, all forested provinces shall developed Provincial REDD+ Action Plans (PRAPs). The SNRM project supported this process and Dien Bien was the first in the country to successfully develop such a plan. In addition to PRAP development, the SNRM project supported provinces in implementation, monitoring and assessment of pilot activities.
Plans and thematic reports under Component 3

Component 3 on biodiversity conservation was implemented in Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve, Lam Dong Province. The key objective of the project was to establish an integrated and collaborative ecosystem management system to promote sustainable forest protection and management in the Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve. Outcomes under the component are presented in the thematic reports.

For effective project implementation, manuals, technical documents and guidelines were developed by SNRM project and can be used as reference by other projects to ensure effective and technically sound implementation of similar activities.

  • SNRM project - Biodiversity monitoring at Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve (clip)
    Biodiversity monitoring system in the core zone, the buffer zone of the Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve, with the support of JICA (through SNRM Project), was implemented to monitor the health of the important forest biological systems, provide scientific data on biodiversity changes in a scientific manner, limiting the potential negative impacts.
